We respect your privacy and build Maplr to keep data safe and secure.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Maplr collects and how we use it. By using Maplr, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, including account details (name, email), business profile information, client records, invoice details, payment terms, tax settings, and preferences. We also collect usage and technical data such as feature usage, timestamps, IP address, device and browser details, and performance analytics. Cookies and session identifiers are used to keep you signed in and operate the service.

- Business data: business name, address, tax numbers, and invoice preferences.
- Invoice data: clients, line items, amounts, taxes, and payment status.
- Usage data: pages visited, feature interactions, and device/browser metadata.
3. How We Use Information
We use your information to provide and maintain the service, process billing, send transactional communications, and deliver customer support. We also use data to improve Maplr, troubleshoot issues, and analyze product performance. Where possible, we use aggregated or de-identified data for analytics and reporting.

4. Stripe & Third-Party Services
Payments are processed by Stripe. Maplr does not store full payment card details on our servers. Stripe collects and processes billing data in accordance with its own policies. We may use other trusted service providers for hosting, email delivery, error monitoring, and analytics. Maplr is not responsible for the privacy practices or policies of third-party providers.
5. Data Storage & Security
Maplr stores data on secure servers and uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information. Despite our efforts, no system can guarantee absolute security, and you use the service at your own risk.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward. We may keep certain records to comply with legal, tax, or operational requirements, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements. If you delete your account, we will process deletion requests in a reasonable timeframe subject to legal obligations.
7. User Rights
You may access, update, or delete your personal information through your account settings. You may also request a copy of your data or request deletion by contacting [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe consistent with applicable Canadian privacy laws.

Maplr is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us so we can delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice by posting the updated policy or through other reasonable means. Continued use of Maplr after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
